Life does not always go as you plan. The past year of my life has been the epitome of that statement. I got engaged, planned a wedding, we both lost our jobs, we got married, moved in with my in-laws, he got a part-time job, and I finished my last semester of school (I don't think I'm forgetting anything...). Needless to say, the perfect life that we had imagined was not what God had in store for us. Luckily, we have an amazing God as well as amazing family and friends that helped us throughout the ups and downs. And now begins a new chapter of our lives. I am hoping to find a job in the near future that will add to our financial stability and allow us to get an apartment. Then comes the moving, the setting up the house, and then (the fun part for me) the getting on with life. The decorating, the crafts, the cooking, hanging out with my husband, hikes, games, movies....all the things that we were too busy to do when I was still in school. I know that life may not go as planned in this next stage but I cannot wait for the journey to begin. So here goes, the beginnings of a homemaker. Photo courtesy of Kelsey Brewer Photography
