Recycling

Today we took our recycling in. It is one of the ways that we try and save some money. It is also how we managed to pay for the majority of our honeymoon :-) By the time we normally take it in we get about $20 after standing there and feeding the machine one bottle or can at a time. But today, they changed that. They made our lives more difficult. And it doesn't make us happy.

Now the machines only take glass bottles and cans. So now what are we supposed to do with our plastic water bottles? We have to either turn them in by weight and not get as much money, or count them out by 50's in order to get all of the money we are entitled to. So it takes longer, and you get way more tickets you have to turn in. And each ticket has to be run separately, so you end up with a bunch of ones and a bunch of change instead of a ten and some fives. The whole thing is just more frustrating. But I guess it's good we can still get the money, next thing you know they will only allow you to do plastic by weight and lose the money.
